Sustainability in SDA

Adenium Living integrates tailored housing solutions for people with varying needs and requirements. Sustainable principles are integral to our houses, promoting designs that improve residents’ well-being and reduce environmental impact. Our sustainable approach also relates to the extended life and capacity of our designs so that if the needs of the person living there change or if future participants have different requirements, the modifications required have minimal impact. For example, the time to integrate of a hoist can be reduced substantially by designing structural allowance in the bedroom ceiling from the outset.

Effective management from the Adenium Living development team is crucial in ensuring timely delivery to transition so the participant has accurate expectations with new builds, ultimately delivering homes at the right time on their SDA journey.

Collaboration among architects, builders, disability service providers, and communities is essential for our homes to be a place our participants are proud of. Building homes that are more than just accommodation is critical to the future of our Participants growth.

By creating sustainable and participant centred houses, we create inclusive spaces that meet residents’ needs while advancing environmental stewardship. This approach fosters social inclusion, reduces operational costs, and sets precedents for future developments. In essence, the synergy of these disciplines builds a more accessible, equitable, and sustainable future.
